Why choose the CT Hurricanes?

Whole Player Development:

Our coaching philosophy revolves around the development of the whole player, not only the development of softball skills. We believe softball is a vessel to help young ladies develop skills and habits that will mold successful adults. For us, integrity, teamwork, respect, discipline and hard work are just as valuable as skills demonstrated on the field.

High Quality Coaching:

Many of our coaches are high school coaches, former high school and college players. Our coaches have many years of coaching experience and offer unique specialties such as pitching, catching and slapping.

Incredible Value:

As a 501c(3) non-profit organization, our entire focus is young women playing softball. Our fees cover the cost to play with all money made from tournaments and fundraising going directly back into the teams and players. Our goal is to allow access to the game to all players regardless of financial situations at home. We strive to keep fees to a minimum.

Access to Indoor & Outdoor Facilities:

We have field rights to 5 different softball fields, including one that has lights at William E. Dunn Sports Complex in Meriden. We also have an indoor facility, The Bat Cave, located on Research Parkway in Meriden. The Bat Cave offers hitting and pitching lanes year round for team practices and is available for all Hurricane players for individual workouts.

For the Love of the Game:

The Hurricanes Organization is founded on the principle of passing on the love of the game of softball. Our coaches, directors and players are part of the Hurricanes Family because we all love the game of softball and want to see that love and passion shared with as many people as possible.
